Kittie Rue Deemer is a Raleigh wedding photographer who photographs and paints weddings, events & portraits in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Cary, RTP and surrounding areas in North Carolina, Florida, Montana and Nevada of the United States. Kittie Rue has performed the role of photographer at weddings in many beautiful locations, both upscale, contemporary and casual. Kittie is pleased to have worked at the Sienna Hotel, Carolina Inn, Washington Duke Inn, Carolina Country Club, Umstead Hotel, Duke Chapel, Duke Gardens, Sisters Gardens, Matthew's House, Wagner House, Barclay Villa, Cafe Luna, Church of the Good Shepherd, The State Club on Centennial Campus, Capital City Club, Crenshaw Hall, Rose Hill Plantation, and many other venues that specialize in elegant wedding & receptions. Additional photographic jobs have included fashion and modeling shoots, personal projects for oil paintings, free-lance photography for Cary Magazine, architectural photography, pets, children, maternity, babies, senior high school, and end-of-life remembrances. Kittie Rue's unique strengths are that of a practicing artist who is also a photographer. She possesses the skills needed to be able to efficiently pose a group, or set up a heart-felt, love-filled moment. The emotion is there, all that's needed is a skilled hand to bring it out. Kittie Rue has educated herself with regular attendance at PPA sanctioned photographic schools and seminars, as well as with art teachers for the organic media, such as oils, pastels, and acrylics. Kittie recently became a Certified Professional Photographer, a distinction earned by about 3% of the practicing photographers in the state of North Carolina. Kittie's style is classical in foundation, yet free and spirited. While photojournalism plays an important part of the genre, Kittie is very comfortable with posing, and a more traditional, or classical approach if that is what the client desires.
